To all:
Folks, here is an interesting post from the SI boards in another folder. I thought you might be interested in reading it. To: Gerald Underwood (1202 ) From: Lance Joseph Lewis Aug 7 1997 7:27PM EST Reply #1219 of 1221 True, I haven't been posting very much. I just recently sold several bank stocks that I've been holding for years, and I've been looking for something to buy. During my search, a friend in school recomended this little puppy, but really had no reason why to buy it. He just said,"It's going to catch on fire." So I started following it. I received an investor package from the company, etc. Then, I found this little thread. Haven't posted till now. Of course, I wish I had never said anything at this point. I just wanted to voice my concerns on what looks like a hyped up stock that will eventually crater in disaster. Mgt did not cause this, but rather everyone who has ever called a friend and said "hey I got a hot Y2000 stock for you!" There's also the big players that got this ball rolling in the first place, which appear to be exiting as evidenced by the large blocks sold at the end of the last few days. Look, call me daddy, call me whatever, but the fact remains that the word is out on this little puppy. If I've got 21 yr olds and 22 yr olds telling me about this "hot one", you can bet that most people that would be willing to buy this stock, know aboout and are either in or out. At that point, there are no more buyers and disaster ensues. Then the lawsuits will start coming, but there's nobody to sue cause the company didn't cause this, you did. However, not that I'm proud of it, the lawyers will reap the legal fees unfortunately from honest working people like yourselves. Enjoy your ride while it lasts. |
