Right. Armed guards everywhere seems a whole lot more invasive to personal freedom than home owners who have firearms for home protection or teachers who are trained and qualified to pack heat. Teachers and home owners represent the best interests and care of those they look after... only a serious criminal or deviant would be threatened by that, which is of course what is needed. As a student, traveler, theater goer, mall shopper etc. ... I would feel much better knowing the school staff is empowered than a gigantic national force of armed guards positioned at every public entry way. That picture looks more like a prison entry than an opportunity for liberal education.
