TokyoMex -- why on Earth would you of all people be long BAANF?

Short squeeze success on this beast will be about as successful as PSFT right now. The blinders are off, period, on revenues of enterprise apps companies through 1999.

BAANF doesn't have anything that novel technologically, nor is its installed base something that another app vendor would greatly benefit from acquiring right now.

ORCL has tried doing development in the Netherlands without a great deal of success. They have too many of their own problems to go out buying business right now and disrupting their apps organization. If Larry gets pulled into this his energy would be diverted from something a lot more important - a good Web enabled rewrite.

PSFT is hardly in a position to start swapping stock.

SAP I suppose could invest some capital here, but they like ORCL have to focus on their R/4 and supply chain stuff. This would be disruptive. They have the cash no doubt, but buying an anchor surely won't buoy their stock price.

IBM is focused on project San Francisco.

IFMX or SYBS becoming an apps vendor. Yeah right.

MSFT entering the apps business with BAANF. I think Bill is smarter than that. Buy PSFT instead.

Who else might you have in mind?
