For those who would like to learn from my successes and my failures. For those who are tiring of the CS position.

These are the facts:

Bought XYLN 11/30/90 12:54 @ $18 1/16. T.L. had the pick out I believe a month or so prior @ ~$9.
Sold XYLN 3/2/99 09:40 @ $36 1/16.
Held the position for approximately 3 months. There were some rough times. I was in the red on several days, volume would go to < half normal ect.. The result - doubled money in 3 months.

Bought FORE 2/12/99 15:38 @ $16 1/8.
Sold FORE 3/16/99 13:06 @ $13 3/16.
Never re-entered - FORE acquired for $30++.
Held the position for ~ a month - Result lost ~18%.

Bought CS 6/1/99 11:14 @ $14 3/16.
Still holding and approaching 5 months. Looking back to the XYLN - if I'd got in at the beginning I would have had to hold at least 5 months. Point sometimes things take time, and good things will come to those with patience.

Why do I bring this up? Not all buyouts have occurred as predicted. PAIR and COMS are examples. PAIR and COMS I believe are good investments at these levels with the buyout possibilities providing an added bounce. However, with both, the down side is and has been minimal. I'm in the black with both.
The point - if I were holding any of your table pounding picks that have not yet materialized the down side that I would be experiencing would be minimal. If I would have bought and held all, my portfolio would be on fire. BTW your calls are not my only investments, I like ORCL and DELL as some good long term growth issues, couple that with NBR and my portfolio is complete.

Tim has always emphasized the importance of good Due Diligence. This is the individual investors responsibility.
