That's because you have a reading comprehension problem.

Liberals think America is filled with horrible hateful people - racists, religious bigots, sexists and homophobes. There's a saving remnant of noble enlightened liberals who are better than most Americans and who naturally despise the benighted majority of Americans. Liberals could remake America into an enlightened country like Sweden if we'd just let them. Though our liberal superiors wouldn't let Americans have school choice or private social security accounts like Swedes have. Americans aren't enlightened enough for those things. They need to be re-educated by their betters, the liberals.
