BOB HANCHER and GARY SALLEE

Motorsports executive Bob Hancher and Indianapolis attorney Gary Sallee teamed up in 1998 to form ISM Racing.

Hancher has spent more than 10 years in the auto racing industry, mostly in open-wheel competition. His first exposure to the sport came when the Indianapolis Motor Speedway purchased garage doors for Gasoline Alley from Raynor, for which he was a marketing executive. Raynor eventually started its own Indy-style team, and Hancher was president of the effort.

In 1997, Hancher was co-owner and managing partner for FirstPlus Team Cheever, which won the Indy 200 with Eddie Cheever Jr., and finished third at Indianapolis with Jeff Ward. With his ISM Racing partnership, Hancher also finished third at Indy in 1998, with Steve Knapp driving. Ward and Knapp won Bank One Rookie of the Year honors in 1997 and 1998, respectively.

Hancher has been married to Gretchen for 22 years.

Sallee has practiced general business law in Indianapolis since 1981 and is president of ISM Holding Corp., parent company of International Sports Management, which he and Hancher formed in 1993.

He serves as an NFLPA contract advisor and has represented players in the NFL, USFL, CFL, NHL and other team-based sports, in addition to actors, musicians, record companies and others.

Sallee has also been involved in the planning of several special events, including the opening and closing ceremonies for the Pan American Games and the National Sports Festival when those events were hosted by the city of Indianapolis. He lives in Indianapolis with his wife, Pamela. They have two sons, Benjamin and Patrick.
