Only if you consider BANNING GUN OWNERSHIP by persecuted classes -- that would include Jews -- to be "relaxing gun control."

If you intend on the wholesale slaughter of a class of people, getting control of gun ownership is probably a good first step. Hitler clearly knew it, as have innumerable other dictators and fascists.
