Then you know. My view of the fireworks had the monuments and the Capitol lined up in a row with the fireworks a tad off to the left. Magnificent photos, when I could quit oohing and aahing enough to take some. My apartment was split level and the balcony and picture window were the width and height of the apartment. You could watch the fireworks from any room and, of course, the balcony.

When the place went condo thirty some years ago, I didn't buy because it was very, very pricey and because it was older and the apartments didn't have their own washers and dryers. Seems silly in retrospect.
