Digital Microwave Corporation Receives $2.3 Million Order
to Supply DXR 700 Products in Palestine

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Microwave
Corporation (Nasdaq: DMIC), today announced that it has received
an order valued at $2.3 million from Itisalat wa Technologia --
Teletec M.E., a telecommunications system integrator and networks
operator, located in Amman, Jordan. The order is to supply DXR 700
radio links and DXR multiplexers for the establishment of a fully
integrated backbone network that will connect small towns and
communities in Palestine with main cities.

The sale of DXR 700 radios and DXR multiplexers to Teletec is a first
for the Palestine market. The DXR equipment satisfied the need for
operation within limited allocated radio spectrum. The DXR 700 is
ideally suited to long haul, medium capacity applications such as this
one, where its advanced modulation techniques give robust performance
and fiber-like signal quality. In addition, the DXR multiplexer
provides the sophisticated routing of subscriber traffic within the
PDH bearers, and integrates the subscriber interface. Together with
DXRnet network management, the solution will also allow seamless
management of the traffic from the central office to the end customers
subscriber.

This order signifies the forming of a new business relationship
between Teletec and Digital Microwave Corporation, utilizing the local
experience and market knowledge of Teletec and the unique features of
the Digital Microwave Corporation DXR products. Mr. Harry Taji,
President and CEO of Teletec, commented, ''The impressive combination
of technical features, prompt technical support and training services
offered by Digital Microwave Corporation contributed positively
towards concluding the business transaction.'' Deliveries of
the DXR product to Teletec begin in November 1999.

Headquartered in San Jose, California, Digital Microwave Corporation
