As I recall, (and please remember this was some time ago) the episode as triggered by a spate of PC "sexual harassment" claims by some of the students on campus. Guys looking down their blouses, that sort of thing. I don't think anyone in the administration really had the stones to say:"gee, a rule like this might be a bit extreme." JLA
