3. Calgary Venture Investment Conference

Our annual big Canadian Venture Investment Conference at Calgary happens Oct. 3 & 4, 1999 at the Telus (Calgary) Convention Centre. The name of the conference has been changed to reflect the current investment market. The conference includes speakers on all topics related to venture and speculative investing in Canadian junior companies - mining exploration, oil & gas, technology, bio-technology, the internet, gaming, emerging growth, small -cap and many more. The name also reflects the merger of the Canadian junior markets, now scheduled to be up and running this November.

5. Fishing on the Bow River

Vance Loeber, VP at Copper Ridge Exploration Inc., (KRX-V) loves fishing. As a prelude to the Calgary conference on Sat., Oct. 2, he will host a group for a days fishing drifting down the Bow River. Copper Ridge will be exhibiting in Calgary. The company is headed by mine-finder Dr. Gerry Carlson. Gerry put the La Teko sale to Kinross Mining together, with a big gain for shareholders. Then, with Kinross as a major partner, Copper Ridge was formed to carry on exploration on some promising properties. The company is doing major work in the Alaska/Yukon Tintina Gold Belt.
