I always thought it would fade if a GOM hurricane was dodged, plus you have seasonal factors. There was an awful lot of speculation around the Middle East fighting and hurricane season. There may also be a bit of economic weakness entering in as well. On the later though, look at how the Risklove's playbook just shifts their trading into financials, retail (up about 4% in two weeks),

and consumer discretionary as if everything is fine. The feedback loops now don't make sense if there is a recession, way too Goldilocks like, as if gasoline prices are down, therefore the consumer is saved.
