NEW YORK, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (NYSE: NMX) today announced that it set daily volume records, including a total daily volume record.

Total contracts traded on CME Globex reached 1,339,578 contracts, surpassing the 1,154,215 contracts traded on October 16.

Crude oil futures totaled 702,578 contracts, exceeding the 663,740 contracts traded on October 16.

Gold futures reached 210,413 contracts, topping the previous record of 198,740 contracts traded on July 26.
