Inode, it doesn't seem to me that Rhee cares as much about union pensions, as long as it doesn't interfere with what teachers are supposed to do, which is to serve and educate the students.

You and I, however, both know that when push comes to shove, the teacher's unions will always choose their own benefits over the quality of education. And in this day and age of budget cuts, push has come to shove a LONG time ago.
