It was explained to me that the reason we have it the way it is is to reduce corruption. I now realize that is true, if the Electorial college is thrown out it will give large corrupt areas of the states much more power. Exactly, It is said that power corrupts and absolute power absolutely corrupts. (or vice versa) <g> The basic message I got from the Gore campaign was, "Put me in power and I'll take from them and give to you". Who's next?
