Probably more than you wanted to know :) ADSL Forum (Industry trade group): adsl.com ADSL Trials and Service Deployment List: adsl.com "Will Cable Rise to the ADSL Challenge?" zdnet.com Cable Modem University: catv.org Cable Modems: cablemodems.com Cable and ADSL Modems NetGuide" netguide.com --------------- I'm patiently waiting for GTE ADSL deployment in Seattle this summer, gte.com (small) local Cable Co talked about testing modems in my area but they seem to have their hands full with just video I guess..... ---------- and then there is a question of whether this ADSL/Cable circuit could also be used to carry the 56k VPN data feed for a broker. Would be nice, but could be a problem if your high speed circuit connects directly to an ISP. Telco might be able to create special routing instructions at their end to break-out the data stream. OR I may just keep them as separate circuits for some redundancy. (but then I could always fall back to a dial up line in an emergency....) =========== FYI: info on GTE 56k VPN service that Cyber-corp is setting up: bbn.com
