Workflow plans spin-off of printing services unit

PALM BEACH, Fla., Nov 2 (Reuters) - Workflow Management Inc. (NasdaqNM:WORK - news) said on Tuesday it planned to spin-off its iGetSmart.com Inc. unit, which provides electronic commerce services for printing companies, in an initial public offering.

The company, which outsources purchasing and other management for businesses, also signed a deal for iGetSmart.com to be designated as the preferred provider for business printing needs on PurchasePro.com Inc.'s (NasdaqNM:PPRO - news) business network.

PurchasePro.com, which earlier announced its chairman and chief executive planned to buy up to $1 million worth of the company's stock for himself, was up 14 at 54-1/8 in Tuesday morning trading on the Nasdaq stock market.

A representative for Workflow was not immediately available to comment on the financial terms of the PurchasePro.com deal, which both companies expect to lead to increased revenues.

Workflow's shares were up 1 at 14, also on Nasdaq.
