Sorry, but Blue Chips WERE affected. It seems you would have us believe that the Nasdaq crash under Clinton bore no relation to the ensuing wide-spread malaise in the markets. It also seems you would have us believe both were caused by Cheney being nominated not elected, and/or simply the prospect of a new president, one who hadn't taken an action which could affect the markets directly. This is the stuff of deep propaganda soup, not economics. You say Clinton had nothing to do with a correction with predictable consequences for the deficit, that occurred on his watch (may well be, IMHO), yet you say Bush/Cheny brought on the deficits (ruining "balanced budget plus surpluses")simply by being nominated and/or elected.

You'd buy the brooklyn Bridge, wouldn't you?
