Mark, You could get the last BIOS (840820.zip) dated 8-20-97 for your VXPro motherbord from Amptron: amptron.com They gave detailed explanation on how to flash the BIOS. Read the instruction for a few times before you feel comfortable to flash the new BIOS. There is nothing to worry about. ;-) BTW, the new BIOS confirms that my MX-166Mhz (83x2) is MX PR-233.
