Hi Bob:

Actually all the stories about the ``semiconductor cycle''
represent a gross oversimplification. Some companies
in the semiconductor space, such as all equipment makers
and companies exposed to DRAM and flash memory markets
are affected viciously by the cycle. At the other end
of the spectrum, the analog guys (MXIM, Linear) and
communication chip companies (PMCS, VTSS, AMCC) were barely
touched during the 97-98 bear market for the semis.
I expect CNXT to be in this category. However, all the
super-high PE companies (BRCM, PMCS, MRVL) may suffer
from PE contraction, but I expect they will continue to
grow even at the bottom of the next semi cycle. With
CNXT we get good growth with a reasonable valuation.

Best regards,

Bernard Levy
