Athlone Minerals announced the drilling and casing of seven wells. Five exploratory natural gas wells were on their large, recently acquired Belle Fourche project, as well as two additional oil wells on their initial project. Both are in Saskatchewan. Additionally, they increased their Belle Fourche land position with the acquisition of 35 additional sections. All of the wells are scheduled for testing and completion in early 2004. Further, they completed a $4.5 C. million financing. They expect to utilize the proceeds from this to fund additional acquisitions as well as to continue drilling at Belle Fourche. Athlone continues to amaze the marketplace with their rapid advancements on both the acquisition and drilling fronts. All that is needed is confirmation of successful drilling results.
