Proxity Sub Cyber Defense Announces CyberBug Ready for Sale; Patents Filed on UAVs

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Jan 6, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Proxity, Inc. (Pink Sheets:PDNW) announces operating subsidiary Cyber Defense Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:CYDF) is making available for sale CyberBug(TM), the first of the Company's planned product line. The line is currently made up of two basic products: CyberBug(TM) and CyberScout(TM). The release of information on these products includes U.S. Patent Office protection of their unique features.
CyberBug(TM) is being marketed as a low cost UAV developed for the individual user. Operating the CyberBug(TM) does not require extensive training, technical backup or pilot training to operate. The target audience is law enforcement and security companies including the Department of Defense. Suggested retail price will start at $7,500.
CyberBug(TM) is the first scalable unmanned aircraft that weighs 2.6 pounds - 6 pounds with a 5-pound payload depending on type of mission. The UAV options include high power day and night vision capable of carrying explosive payloads for defense and military use. The CyberBug(TM) can be assembled and launched in remote areas in 30 seconds by an individual and easily recovered in winds up to 20 MPH. The unit includes an autopilot as well as data link with GPS overlay. The CyberBug(TM) has two basic uses: short flight, which is intended to operate surveillance in areas of concern when troops are in dangerous situations, and long-term flight for the surveillance of patrol areas up to four hours.
The CyberBug(TM) sales plan includes hosting or attending several demonstrations to showcase the UAV: demonstrations in Haymarket, Virginia (January 19 - January 21), a security and technical seminar in San Antonio with distributor UNILUX at the end of January (date TBA), and the UAV show February 8-10.
The CyberScout(TM) UAV currently under development is designed to offer VTOL capabilities (vertical takeoff or landing) and hovers and flies horizontally for up to 45 minutes at speeds of 100 plus MPH. The CyberScout(TM) is not available at this time but the company expects the product to be for sale later in 2005. The product will be offered with a standard flight autopilot or an autonomous flight system; camera and payload pod are included. CyberScout(TM) weighs 10 pounds including a one-pound payload.
Cyber Defense plans on selling its unique line of UAVs through agreements with exclusive and non-exclusive distributorships both in the U.S. and abroad. The annual distributorship agreements will include commitments by the dealers to purchase 10 units (two upfront) to purchasing as many as 100 units for exclusive State territories. Cyber Defense will provide protection for territory owners as well as product marketing/sales training. Exclusive International dealerships and reseller agreements will also be available.
