TUCKAHOE, N.Y. - May 31, 2006 - CryptoMetrics, a leading global provider of state-of-the-art biometric solutions to government, aviation security, law enforcement, military, homeland security and commercial markets, today announced that Lifetouch Inc. has licensed its VisPro-ware Software for deployment across its operations to streamline photo production while realizing new beneficial advantages for delivery of customer services.
CryptoMetrics VisPro-ware enables clients like Lifetouch to create powerful applications designed to acquire, enhance and subsequently use facial images and/or facial biometric samples. VisPro-ware offers an extensive array of transformation and quality enhancement features for automatically realizing the highest quality facial images and/or facial biometric samples. Face biometric samples derived by VisPro-ware improve overall machine-assisted identity confirmation checks since samples are optimized for use with commercially available face recognition software.

VisPro-ware is underpinned by the most accurate facial landmark finding performance found in any commercial software package of its type today. Key facial landmarks such as centers of the eye sockets, tip of the nose and corners of the mouth are quickly and accurately located, including those more difficult features required to determine and create the 3D orientation of the face. Faces are automatically located in single and multiple person photos or images, the latter simultaneously.
