As far an immediate threat to Zip you can forget about MO drives. The real threat will be anything compatible with CD drives. Availability of a CD drive is fast becoming a basic requirement and since you can stick 500 plus megabytes on a CD-R that device will double as primary backup for home and office. The 4 to 16 gigabyte CDs are well on their way to becoming a viable product too.
