Yes, I do. But that isn't the point. It's not "about sex" as the White House mantra goes -the one that has been bought by many of the unwashed and uneducated public. It is about perjury, obstruction of justice, and lying to the American people while wagging your finger at them and telling them that what you're going to say is the truth.
As to why I voted for Clinton, I had read Maranis' book and had seen him screw Democrats and exhibit his other destructive personality traits for 4 years, but I looked at the alternative, i.e. a whacko, Ross Perot, and Bob Dole, a curmudgeon who would have pushed the agenda of the Christian right wing as well as the traditional Republican agenda of screw the poor and help the rich. Then I went to the voting booth and held my nose as I punched Bill Clinton's name.
If Clinton resigns or is impeached, we get Al Gore, who isn't my idea of nirvana, but who supports policies closer to my heart than, say, the ones supported by Bob Dole, Pat Buchanan, or Pat Robertson.
As for taxes, they are, as someone famous said, "the price of civilization," and I don't look at them as the Great Satan. Howevere, if someone promises that they aren't going to raise them and does, they should pay the consequences. Hmmm, seems that's what happened 6 years ago. |
