Patch ineffective,

I downloaded everything they had and spent hours on the phone with tech support. Last techie I spoke to gave the final verdict. Patch or no patch, software does not work except for Vi series. USR uses proprietary chipset and if my experience was in any way typical, the bottom line was - get different software or a different modem.

Maybe my experience was was unique and others will be satisfied customers. Again, good news is, of the two I stuck with the software and, following the Delrina tech's advice, am tracking down PhoneBlaster 28.8 by Creative Labs to use instead. Assuming I can get it all to work, commsuite and talkworks appear to be loaded with features for the small businesses (like mine) that are cropping up everywhere.
