What makes you think that people on this thread are bearish?
Lighten up. This is just a harmless little contest. If you
have been long the market all these years you obviously are
attempting to "predict" the market even though you claim not to.
What is amazing is all the spin doctoring in the media to buy, buy,buy,
stocks. It is as if the American people are being programmed to do so.
If you look at the prospectus of most stock mutual funds, except
for the index funds, portfolio turnover almost always exceeds
100% - 200%. While the gurus tell us to hold for the long term,
they are constantly selling and buying. Taking profits and
cutting losses, which is what the game is all about. Remember what
happened in Japan. It will happen here some day. Until then,
"at least I'm still enjoying the ride". But it's about time to get off.
