Oliver, it was just this line of reasoning that kept me out of Amazon, AOL and Yahoo. You look at the numbers and they just don't make sense. How can Amazon have a market valuation five times that of Barnes & Noble and Borders combined?? I finally had to admit that the rules had changed and that I no longer understood them. Does this worry me and make me feel uncomfortable?? Yes!! Does that stop me from investing in new smaller Internet companies?? No!! The bottom line is that today's investor has to seek out and find tomorrow's Dell, Cisco, Lucent, ... This might entail significant risk, but today's investment environment demands it.
