There is a paternity dispute although DNA tests during consideration of her application to go to Australia showed the father is the Australian rather than the Italian who also claims paternity and after whom she is named. Both "fathers" are at her side.

Women in various Asian countries are desperate to get out of there and seek men in New Zealand and obviously elsewhere to take them on. From what I see, they rate escape from their situations to be more important than the quality of the men they get here [in many instances and as a wild generalisation].
Beslan, Jakarta, Bali, Israel, anywhere, Islamic people seem indifferent to infidel lives and often enough their own.
Islam is a religious horror story and belief system on a par with the worst of the medieval Christian horrors and the Aztec live-human sacrifices. To say it is a religion of peace is obvious nonsense. It's a superstitious misogynist madness based on cruelty and domination. Very like Christianity in its heyday.

Unlike the attack in Beslan, Manny was collateral damage in the world of Islamic Jihad, just as children are sometimes the collateral damage of the so-called "Free World" attacks. But I imagine the bombers of infidel children are indifferent, whereas few "Free World" killers of children would feel pleased with their work, even if unavoidable in getting those they are after, Lt Calley and mates notwithstanding.
C2, I told Lindy I was going on strike an hour before the denouement of the Beslan attack because of the hostage crisis. I was going out in sympathy with the victims. There wasn't anything else I could do [that I could think of]. I went for a long sad run in the cold and dark and during that time, mass murder of children started. I haven't felt like posting. I've read quite a bit. I don't care much about Rather, CBS, commas and kerning or whether President AWOL was warned or not, or was away a lot, or a little, or honourably or dishonourably discharged, when he was a playboy.
Many years ago, [like 20 or maybe 30], I read of some male [part human], I forget which country, but I think USA, who raped a young woman and then put a shotgun in her vagina and pulled the trigger. Then, as she writhed around, obviously mortally wounded, he put the gun to her throat and fired again. I hadn't then heard of many things like that and was horrified. More recently, in Auckland, Kylie Jones was walking home from work at about 6pm when Taffy Hotene, a random attacker, terrorized and then knifed her to death in a park by where she lived.
These things are mind-searing. They are violent males acting out their sexually-driven dominance genes without a human feedback loop into a well-developed person. Testosterone, dominance, lust and male answer syndrome gone AWOL, over the top, and out of control into madness.
Islamic Jihad seems much the same sort of thing to me, but on a social scale, with pretensions to socially-approved Taleban-style rules. Though stonings and other such killings of women for various sexual "offences" are no better than Taffy Hotene's efforts = guilty of being a woman.
I think King George II might have had it right when he let slip the politically-incorrect word "crusade".
I think in response to the Beslan attack, if I was Putin I'd advise everyone to move at least 5 kilometres away from that big Haj rock in Mecca, give them 24 hours to do so, then at midnight, remove it with a small nuclear bomb. ireland.com That would make a fitting monument to the children of Beslan and a lot of other victims of Islamic Jihad around the world.
Beslan got the world's attention. Removing the Haj rock would make those in favour of Islamic Jihad have a bit of a think too. It's not as big and impressive as the Twin Towers, but it should still rate as much news as the Beslan murders.
At least the USA has stopped supporting the Chechen Islamic Jihad "freedom-fighters" who head-hacked Stan Shaw and others. Though the USA is harbouring somebody who Putin says is a criminal from Chechnya. It took the USA until 911 to figure out that they had more in common with Gorby, and even Yeltsin and Putin than with Islamic Jihad. I think the religious cranks in the USA figured that any religion is a good religion and better than evil communists [who are endemic in the USA anyway, in their socialist form].
It looks as though I've got the same male answer syndrome over the top madness as the Islamic Jihad head-hackers and Christian Crusader wacos. Maybe turning the other cheek is a better idea.
