And does anyone know, will that satisfy Rambus' important customers, or cause its downfall? (It would be nice to know if this 16 point down day made a buying opportunity, a shorting further opportunity, or is simply a sign to keep away and alert!)

Niles concerns with Rambus/Intel/Taiwan/Motherboard/Camino are certainly legit for the short term. After all, BBoston has to watch out for their clients and help create loading up situations on particular stocks for them - right? After all, he went from a Buy to a Long Term Attractive. What is long term these days? A few months, a few quarters.....?

Over on the Rambus board there's talk as to who's going to take the heat for the camino/motherboard/rambus problems/delay. Is it the board, is it camino, is it Rambus? Short term, we need to understand that in terms of our shares of Intel, Rambus (for those holding), Dell (for those of us who like to cuddle with this one as well) and maybe even the other debutantes - HP, Compaq and perhaps IBM - near term reaction may not be so optimistic. Gorilla Gaming long term investors realize that a product delay of one or two quarters could provide some discomfort on the short term front, but longer term.........what's a quarter or two if one has the long term belief that Rambus is reality?

Back to your questions of buying opportunity, a shorting opportunity, or keep away and alert. I think my way of playing the GG is certainly not to play the shorting game. Maybe others would disagree. As to buying. If you have made the decision to include Rambus in part of your 'game' then certainly using any combination of the delay, market correction, Taiwan loss of power (let's not forget the irreplaceable loss of many loved ones as well), FED will or won't fence sitting and whatever else you want to throw into the mix (China currency, Y2K, FUD) and dollar cost averaging appears to make sense. There are a whole host of traders on the Rambus thread that would be happy to help you with their timing issues.

Nevertheless, being that Intel has come down from 89 to the mid 70's, I guess we could argue if the camino delay and motherboard problems are or are not factored into the price already. Although Niles, for the second time this year, has been so melancholy (as in the sad, minor key of Oh Danny Boy on Intel, one wonders if he is failing to value in the plethora of investments that our beloved Gorilla has been making in the future, the Internet investment portfolio and in the shareholders value. Had his clients bought Intel in early summer after he talked it down, they would still be up 50 percent. I wonder what their return will be this time around after his 'words of wisdom'?
