Don't know if this has been posted yet: SINGAPORE considers reducing its control of large companies. The government was stung by the rebuff of Singapore Telecommunications? bid to acquire Cable & Wireless HKT. There was a false perception that Singapore?s management would bias the merged company?s programs and policies "to benefit Singapore at the expense of Hong Kong," says Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong.
