I'm not sure where the 3.1T came from; the correct figure was 2.7.


3.1T was the estimated expense in bush's budget. 2.7T was the estimated cost, therefore the 400B estimated deficit.
3.5T was the actual expense, 2.1 was the actual revenue. therefore the actual deficit of 1.4T, of which 300 was ARRA.

Be that as it may, you are being totally arbitrary in "blaming Bush" for a revenue shortfall that occurred under his successor. Sorry, but that's just not reasonable.


Dude, a fed fiscal year starts on Oct 1 and ends on Sept 30. The last quarter of 2008 (bush still in office) the economy contracted 9%...and that trend continued at some lesser rate in 2009. Do you expect Obama to be a freaking magician?


At what point in time do you believe Obama became (or will become) responsible for deficits occurring during his presidency? 2010? 2012? 2015? Could you please just specify the year so we're all on the same page?
