Wuhan virus update — all numbers are higher, except the number of deaths outside Hubei hasn’t changed.

gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com

Mortality in Hubei is now a little lower, at 2.87%. Outside Hubei, mortality in China and the rest of the world is 0.18%.

I expected mortality in Hubei to drift down, as the (presumed) huge pool of accumulated cases gets “worked off” - most recover, a some die - and larger numbers of not very sick patients get tested.

Still think that, unfortunately, the Wuhan virus “will travel”... there will be a pandemic - but the disease will be, probably, on average about as dangerous as the flu.
