Methinks you're missing the point. My read of the media's version of "combat" is where an injury is received in an action against an enemy of the USA or as a consequence of action taken by that enemy. That is what is happening. The USA is searching for the enemy and these actions are occurring. This might be at a checkpoint, a recon or some other event. In so far as "humiliating" is concerned. It is unfortunate if the Iraqis are that thin-skinned about checkpoint searches. I haven't read anything about that yet. Hell, they do searches everyday at our airports.
