Rush Limbaugh Describes Emotional Moment Receiving Presidential Medal Of Freedom

On his live radio show Friday, talk show host Rush Limbaugh explained the emotional moment and experience of receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom during President Trump’s State of the Union address.

Limbaugh explained the story of getting invited to the White House. He initially had a surgery scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on the day of the State of the Union, but changed his schedule to appear. Limbaugh said he had no idea he would be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom that day.

“Remember, I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I had no clue. He’s told me he’s going to present me with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, but a couple weeks from now,” Limbaugh said. “I had no idea at this point, on Tuesday morning, that this was going to happen at the State of the Union.”

He played Trump’s announcement when Limbaugh received the Presidential Medal of Freedom that very night.
