They design at high levels of abstraction for less expensive people to implement in code.

But they learned to code on the way up, didn't they? I was sitting here thinking about all the stuff I learned in school I never used. Algebra, for instance. What a waste of time for most kids and they know it.

I really didn't learn how to evaluate the world until I learned what was important and unimportant in the mid 70's when I had just turned 40. I should have been taught it in Middle School. Grammar School is "drill the basics." How many kids use anything they learn after 4th or 5th grade? Once you have learned the basics you need to be taught how to integrate it but of course you teachers haven't a clue as to how to do this.

When I did K-12 in the 30's and 40's we were taught that this was a great country. By the 70's we were teaching this was not a great country and today we are taught to hate ourselves if we are white. You go to the "school night" and a very nice young teacher, who you wish your daughter would grow up to be like, tells you fairy stories about how they teach. They are Liberal Art's majors who believe they have middle of the road beliefs and know they have to get along with you. They do their best to turn your kids into wide eyed radicals. Their administrators do their best to back them up and your Pols pass laws to make sure that you have as little to say about what goes on the schools as possible.

If a group of you get together about an issue they will "rope a dope" you until you go away and they then teach as they please until another group of parents come along which they will treat the same way.
