To All: ( BW)(MICRONET-TECH-INC) MicroNet announces Zip modules for
DataDock; provides convenient and affordable removability

Business Editors and High-Tech Writers

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11,
1996--SEYBOLD--MicroNet Technology Inc. on Wednesday announced that
it will integrate Iomega Corp.'s popular Zip drive into its DataDock
line of removable media storage modules.
The Zip drive is a 100 MB removable media storage device that
offers users increased flexibility, reliability and affordability.
Because of the removable media format, the Zip module/DataDock
combination offers virtually unlimited storage solutions for any
user seeking the ability to save, share and archive data.
The introduction of the Zip module supports MicroNet's commitment
to providing its customers with high-demand storage options. Since
its release in 1995, the Zip drive has become one of the most
popular forms of removable storage in use today. The Zip module
will have a suggested retail price of $295.
Zip modules feature a maximum sustained transfer rate of
1.4 MB/second, making it one of the fastest removable media storage
devices available. The 100 MB Zip module weighs about 1 pound and
can also be used as an effective and convenient backup solution.
DataDock is a portable data transport system for the Macintosh
and PC. Each module features a durable design to protect critical
data and withstand shuttling between docking stations -- whether the
stations are on different workstations within an office or in
completely different locations.
DataDock is available in a variety of configurations including a
desktop unit that accommodates two modules, a rack-mount unit that
accommodates up to six modules and the new seven-bay DataDock 7000.
DataDock modules can be used in any combination of hard disk,
arrays, magneto optical, SyQuest, DAT backup, Zip or Jaz drive
modules. For example, a 4 GB Fast SCSI-2 drive can be housed in one
bay and an 8 GB DAT drive in another. Each mechanism is encased
within a module that fits securely into the docking station.
