How long does it take to draft a two paragraph statement? Pacific Century CyberWorks said its shares remained suspended in afternoon trade as it is still waiting for the Securities and Futures Commission and the stock exchange to approve the wording of its statement to the market. The company's shares were suspended from the opening of trade following a report in which group general manager, Alex Arena, was quoted as saying that the company had "booked" an unrealised gain of 1.0 bln usd on investments in a dozen companies. One analyst, who follows the company closely and did not want to be named, said it was the company which called a halt to the trading of its shares as it wanted to clarify Arena's statement. "The market is baffled by the delay in the company's statement being issued. How long does it take to draft a two paragraph statement? "All this is doing is creating wild rumours and speculation."
