This is great help. Believe the protocol is what funk is referring to in a prior post.

I upgraded my DUN to that one a couple of years ago. The documentation is the reason I've been wondering how it works. I have a new PII400 on order. Presume that will give me extra COM ports. Also have 2 lines right now. Might consider a third if I could do it. Costs here not bad: 14/mon for the line and 20/mon for the ISP. funk's note also suggested some ISPs might give a paxkage deal on the dial ups needed.
