1) Can one add to the Watch List all those
stocks in a specific industry (eg technology) that are down at least X% from their Y
week high, or does the scan have to include all industries listed on say the NYSE or
Nasdaq? ------

A: you can set-up scans buy NASD, NYSE, optionable and AMEX BUT you can't set to filter in only companies in a specific industry. Worden has built in all industry groups (as they group them) into a portfolio group to make industry review easier. Also a separate set of groupings designated as "M" (?) are provided.

RE: setting values, the user can set the value of X arbitrarily. the The Y values are 30 day H or L, 52wk H/L or 90 day H/L

RE: speed, this is very fast a) you can still hit "J" and jump to a symbol. b) The BEST feature is that while setting up the scans with the many user definable value, they allow you to hit a "scan count" button which returns the number of symbols which pass the scan...this scan count takes less than one second!!! This allows you to very quickly manipulate the scan to to yield a manageable number of returns.

The down loads over the net can be very slow. I have a 10 Meg cable modem and the down load takes 5 minutes. I have done it on a back-up modem line and it took about 10 - 15 minutes.

BTW today there were about 20 stocks with notes

This is a very powerful tool.

Happy trading
