That used to work in the good old days when the competitors were gnats like Netscape or lumbering dinosaurs like IBM. I'm not convinced that this model is going to be successful in this day and age when competitors are far sharper and stronger with wallets to match. MSN is 12 years old, still bleeding cash and a distant third in revenues compared with GOOG and YHOO.
