"I don't know whether Ford really believed that, or he was just saying it for good PR." He did MORE than just "say it". He implemented it, he acted upon his words and actually raised the wages of his factory workers to a multiple of the going national rate... (against much push-back from fellow industrialists and politicians of the time, I might add).
