Jefferson quotes tie dissent to patriotism, truthful free open debate and a strong press to the survival of our democracy, and he rejects church as being in any way associated with state. He also states that public opinion is boss, not elected or unelected officials (which means Bush-Cheney-DElay-Frist need to step down and/opr change source drastically). Jefferson would not approve of Bushies whatsoever. However, that quote, while on the net, may be a paraphrasing. Do your own study of Jefferson's quotes and wisdom and you will start to realize that Bushies have betrayed what our founding fathers determined to be what this country is based on. Also study what Jesus Christ said, and you will find the religous right is not practicing Christ's greatest lessons.
