Excellent post, you hit the nail on the head again. I recall listening to that exchange between Bernanke and Ron Paul, and almost falling down at the moment I heard Bernanke's reply. I don't know if what I felt was shock, or thinking I had momentarily had a hearing loss.
I was in disbelief, my immediate reaction was "did Bernanke really say that?", and "does he expect people to believe that?" "WTF????"
Americans putting their money in savings acounts? That is what caused the spike in money supply? ROFLMAO!!! The average American has NO savings, is in debt up to his neck, and now using his credit card to the max, since the Housing ATM machine has died.
To be honest, I detected the same arrogant smirk on Bernanke's face that we see on Pres Bush's face routinely. That smug, Ivy League, preppy, Yale-Harvard, "Skull n Bones", priveledged, gated community, silk-stocking crowd smirk, that says in spades to Joe 6pack ...
"LET THEM EAT CAKE"
That is the paradigm of the ruling elite, the limosine mafia running Washington and Wall Street. I'm not talking the latte' liberals or neocons here, I'm talking power elites of both parties that are bought and paid for, and don't represent average Americans any longer.
After watching the stock market action of late, I am more convinced than ever the game is rigged, and the house never loses. I think the average "investor" has better odds at Blackjack at Vegas, Atlantic City, or Biloxi, MS. At least in Vegas they have Security, and card counters get caught and get thrown out, or roughed up in the back room. On Wall Street, "card counting", stock manipulation, insider trading, and LYING, LYING, LYING is done every day.
Quant funds rule this market, going short one day, long the next, and the average investor is a pawn in this game.
Hey, don't worry, now we have Bush finally concerned about runaway Federal spending! LOL
today he vetoes Health and Human Services spending bills, but signs runaway Pentagon DOD spending bills, with more billions wasted on pork barrel weapons systems like the V-22 Osprey, which has yet to ever prove itself an aircraft the Marines can use in the Theatre of Operations.
Dont get me wrong, I'm a Vet, and I am in favor of strong defense, but I am disgusted with the childish, polarized government we have in office currently.
so save America, and take those pennies out of your Bank savings acount, and run down to the Mall and SPEND, SPEND, SPEND! That is what CNBC and the rest of the shrills want you to do...
good night and
good luck |
