Thanks. That's kind of what I thought.

I'm guessing that if you need multiple servers Linux would make sense over the long run.

Whereas a smaller company with limited demands would be better off with OSX.

Also as the complexity of the network increases Linux would probably be smarter as either way you have to be more technically minded and if you are that technical then OSX would not be advantageous. In fact the documentation for Linux would probably be superior.

Therefore Apple would be barking up the wrong tree trying to compete with Linux for much of the market. Just smaller businesses and limited serving areas like media and mail as mentioned in the article I posted.

That would limit the potential market share expansion of Apple, but not too too much.
