It sounds like its another chip out of the Microsoft Curtain. For the low end crowd. Linux, Open Office, and now open source phone software into an integrated platform.

I doubt this will hurt Apple since Apple is continually innovating on the high end. In fact it may help Apple as it will hasten the end of Microsoft's hegemony. Open Office (etc) is available on Macs so phones with this type of OS will probably work just fine on Macs.
