uw-- fully agree on the taxing of interest- add dividends and cap gains to that list (esp since even at 15 (thank you GW) % I get smashed this year. Only mortgage interest is deductable which encourages home ownership, a good thing. Back a few decades credit card and auto-loan interest was also deductable,, a good thing for lower income but overall ............
