ex-dilbert: searching the site

Compared to the mls where you just plug in all factors on one page and it spits out a huge list on one page, that site takes a long time. You have to enter just a few factors on each page unless you are searching the same factors for a second time.

there's a reason that search found more homes than your realtor. I bet not all those homes are active listings. There may be some sold, expired or withdrawn listings. With mls you have the option of searching all active, sold, expired, withdrawn and pending listings but most people search active and maybe pending. I personally feel that you can get better results with an agent if you have a good agent. It's all relative I guess. If you have a bad agent, homs website might be better. If you have a good agent, it can't compare.

I may try a test later. I will search for a certain home both on the mls and through homs. I will then post a link to the results. mls is password protected but I can post the results outside of mls in client format. I will time the search also. I just need to finish some work first.
