The dust should settle quickly. With OEM agreements in place the zip drives are now easier to obtain than ever. Some fail to remember that it takes time for the OEM's to ramp up with their new multimedia enhanced PC. And it doesn't matter if the OEM's are getting a cut of the profits or that IOMEGA is selling them cheaper, its the margins on the disks that remains the source of pure profit.

I called a tech support representative a few days after the pay per occurence support program started. My question was answered promptly by I realized that I was call #4658 on the second day of this program. Thirty thou a day isn't a bad way to recover the losses due to the rebate. In the same conversion I ask the rep how sales were going and he said that orders were increasing and that production was 3 weeks oversold. I can't tell you how that compares but it doesn't seem bad that this highly efficient company can't keep up with demand if that has been one of their main objectives for months.

I agree that one should wait until some convincing earning news appears to buy this stock but get in quick.

Still waiting for the Zip drive that fits into the laptop-ultimate portibility!

Definitely long and waiting for Santa,
Jay.
