There is a lot of excellent journalism taking place in the US. The rub it seems is a majority of people want to be fed the gerber baby pablum and have lost the ability to think for themselves. Maybe they are just lazy, busy, etc? I also sense that people here in the US seem a touch more violent, less inclined to tolerate the opinions of others lately, and this might be due to the 'war' mindset and/or the divisive campaign for president we have in this country currently.
